After the global devastation brought about by COVID 19 it is difficult to determine if the world is ready for another pandemic as the readiness depends on various factors such as the effectiveness of the response to a previous pandemic, the speed of vaccine distribution, and the preparedness of healthcare systems.

However, efforts have been made to improve preparedness and response mechanisms in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as investment in vaccine research and production, development of rapid testing and tracing systems, and improvement of healthcare infrastructure in many countries.

Nevertheless, the threat of a new pandemic remains a significant global concern and continued efforts to enhance readiness and response capabilities are necessary.
